Richard Mille revisits the legendary RM012 movement, merging material innovation with horological architecture. The RM12-01 Tourbillon watch features the RM12-01 movement and offers various limited editions exclusively in its boutiques across the Americas. The case structure of the new RM12-01 Tourbillon watch follows a triaxial principle, bringing all components of the case together. The lines of the movement draw inspiration from architectural design structures, with a tubular inclined structure providing optimal rigidity and torsional strength, while also boasting excellent heat resistance and corrosion resistance. The functions of the base plate uniquely combine with those of the movement and bridges, forming a technically coherent and visually inseparable whole. The movement is proudly displayed through a perfect combination of polishing, satin finishing, circular finishing, and high polish. Its integrated base plate is inspired by racing chassis, enhancing rigidity and impact resistance, characterized by sharp streamlined curves surrounding the barrel, large wheel, and the hollow bridge of the tourbillon, extending towards the end of the manual winding movement.
