Richard Mille revisits the legendary RM012 movement, integrating innovations in materials with horological architecture. The RM12-01 tourbillon watch features the RM12-01 tourbillon movement and offers a variety of limited editions exclusively at its boutiques in the Americas. The structure of the new RM12-01 tourbillon watch case follows the triaxial principle, combining all case components together. The lines of the movement are inspired by structural forms in architectural design, where the tubular inclined structure provides optimal rigidity and torsional stiffness, alongside excellent heat and corrosion resistance. The functions of the base plate uniquely combine with those of the movement and bridges, forming a technically coherent and visually inseparable whole. The movement is proudly displayed through a perfect blend of polishing, satin finishing, circular finishing, and high polishing. Its integrated base plate is inspired by racing chassis, enhancing rigidity and impact resistance, characterized by sharp streamlined curves surrounding the barrel, large wheel, and the hollowed bridge of the tourbillon, extending to the end of the manual winding movement.
