A new green dial variant has debuted, with a green hue that instantly evokes the brand colors of Audemars Piguet, making it both fresh and captivating!
The new Ref. 15550ST retains the original design from 1972 but incorporates several subtle adjustments in the case, dial, and strap. Notably, the angled surfaces at the top and bottom of the case have been enlarged, enhancing the overall proportions! Additionally, the hand-finished satin polishing of the watch enhances its appearance, creating a striking interplay of light and shadow with the glossy polishing. The dial still features its distinctive squared pattern, while the 24K gold three-dimensional Audemars Piguet logo at the 12 o'clock position is crafted using an electroplating technique (similar to 3D printing), replacing the previous three-dimensional AP emblem and printed Audemars Piguet text.
The 22K exclusive rotor of the movement also bears the 50th Anniversary inscription. This rotor showcases the 50th anniversary logo and Audemars Piguet emblem through intricate hollowing techniques and is finished with a combination of satin and polished surfaces, just like the case! Furthermore, the watch has its case back further integrated into the case, providing a snug and comfortable fit that conforms to the wrist's curvature. The strap has also been redesigned, with the first four links changing from a parallelogram to a trapezoidal shape. The strap width gradually decreases, resulting in a more streamlined aesthetic, and all links are slimmer, making the watch feel lighter when worn!
